Sodium P-Toluene Sulfonate is white powder crystalline,easy soluble in water (dissolve 67 g at 20oC,260 g at 80oC),soluble in methanol,slight soluble in most organic solvent. Melting point : 300 oC and flashing point 500 oC.
Toluene use 96% to 98% sulfuric acid sulfonation to gain p-toluene sulfonic acid,then use caustic soda liquid neutralization to gain crude Sodium P-Toluene Sulfonate, then decoloration, concentration, crystallization, centrifugation.
Add 2-3% Sodium P-Toluene Sulfonate (by weight) in detergent slurry can increase detergent powder performance.
